The typical methods of driving traffic to a website still apply but with a blog there’s a certain set of elements to a blog that make it even more possible for you to get increased traffic. Now the first thing I want you to focus on is to rely on repeat traffic. Repeat traffic simply means people who have visited before. They keep coming back.
One of the ways they’re going to keep coming back is by making it very obvious and it making it very beneficial for your readers to subscribe to your RSS feed. RSS stands for Real Simple Syndication and this is kind of like a radio beacon that lets people know that you have new content. So when you post something new to your blog the RSS feed will automatically ping out to whatever, what’s called a feed reader someone is using, and let them know that there’s a new article in place.

This is obviously a personal question to my business. Your traffic methods may be different depending on what your business is but what I’ve found in the four years I’ve been in business and using the internet to promote my business there are three types for sure that I really benefit from and all of them are endorsed traffic. Not traffic that I generate necessarily all on my own.

I often get asked this question by people who are getting ready to attend a live event or they’re in a coaching program of mine and they just want to get the big name person on the call. And they think if they just get that big name person to get on the call with them then their life will be set.

This is really an important question because when you’re on your first couple of teleseminars you may not have a product or service that you can actually sell. And you might be king of queasy as I was when I first started, as I was, on the idea of selling during a teleseminar. Unless you’re a trained salesman it’s very difficult to get people to buy stuff.

Boy, this is such a common question for me and it’s funny because I like to answer it in the complete opposite direction than what you would expect. If you’re worried about getting people to show up on the call, you are thinking about the wrong thing. This is a very common question that I receive because people tend to think that they have to get their first call absolutely perfect. But the truth is the first call really about ending what I like to call your teleseminar virginity. It’s not going to be as good as people say. It might even be uncomfortable a little bit but with practice it’s going to get really, really good.

It used to be the case that you needed all kinds of fancy expensive equipment and now-a-days all you need is your phone and access to a computer. Now you can use just your phone if you want but you need to sign up for a technology called a conference line or a bridge line which is something that you would do online and the dashboard to control your call is best used if you are on the internet. If you want to use your phone there are a number of keys that you can use in order to control the recording and the mute and all that kind of stuff but it’s best done if you’re using the actual controls on the screen.
